40 Key Verses for Evangelism

One of the great things about Southern Seminary is the willingness of the professors to assist lay people. I recently heard a lecture by Dr. Timothy K. Beougher on evangelism in which he told of a study he developed for neighborhood outreach based on the idea that unchurched people would be more likely to attend a study about the Bible rather than a Bible study. In his experience, many of his neighbors were intimidated by a Bible study because they did not want to look ignorant in front of others when they knew so little about the Bible.

Dr. Beougher was kind enough to send me a rough outline of his 5-6 week study on an overview of the Bible, Old and New Testaments. One of the helps he sent me was a list of 40 key verses for evangelism to memorize. I post them here in the hope that you will study them and use them to prepare to share Christ when one of those “chance” conversations with unbelievers happens.
